Hoya 'Carnosa'
A climbing trellis plant the Hoya Carnosa is ideal for beginners and makes a great addition to a bathroom or kitchen. One of the more common members of the Hoya family, the Carnosa has deep green almost round, almond-shaped leaves and given the right care will develop cream-colored tiny star-shaped flowers that grow in clusters. Hoya’s are also called wax plants! This is due to their semi-succulent thick leaves that appear to be made of wax.
Hoya’s grow little stick appendages from their vines called “peduncles”. They may look dry or even brown but they shouldn’t be trimmed from the plant. It's important to continue your routine when these appear as this is where the flowers will bloom from!
